I will make comments about the books that I have read.  Some will be longer reviews than others.

Read out loud: 

Have you ever read a book out loud to hear the difference in the story?  Try it and hear the characters and the atmosphere come alive.  I suggest simpler books at first as reading "Wicked" in its entirety out loud is a feat and because of Gregory Maguire's incredible vocabulary it was a challenge.

I have brought myself to tears or a fit of laughter or breathlessness by reading out loud as a good author will capture the emotion in the reader's breath.

Try reading "Tuesdays with Morrie" by Mitch Albom and not shed a tear!
